Flax Descriptions

Today we looked at the flax growing in our school and then we did some descriptive writing about what it looked and felt like.

Here are some of our best pieces of writing:

The flax is green and long. It looks like fireworks exploding. by KB

The flax is green like the grass with lines and it is pointy like a snakes tongue. It feels smooth on one side and it feels rough on the other side. by JB

The flax is green and pointy. It feels bumpy. by SM

The flax is long and it has lines on it. It feels soft and bumpy. by BJ

The flax is pointy, long and bumpy. It feels soft and spiky and smooth and it has webs on it. by MNB

The flax is pointy and it is green. It feels soft and bumpy. The end looks like a snakes tongue. by AN

Can you think of any more words to describe flax?
